We are so excited about your interest in H2O Kids!

H2O Kids seeks to partner with the parents of children (ages birth through 5th grade) to make disciples of Jesus Christ by engaging our kids with the gospel: teaching them to know, love and obey God through a personal relationship with Him.  We seek to engage kids with the gospel on Sunday mornings as well as to equip parents to continue discussions and teachings throughout the week.

Contact Kelsey Poock, Kids Ministry Leader, for questions about anything related to H2O Kids.

Sunday Morning

Time & Location

Service Time | 11:01am
Arrive at the Annex around 10:45a to check in!

H2O Annex First Floor | 1387 Neil Ave
*Please note this is a different location than the actual service being held at Curl Market*

The Infant’s Department is for children ages birth to 24 months old.  They meet in the Orange Room on the 1st floor of the Annex.  In the Infants Department, caring leaders introduce kids to God’s love by praying for them, singing with them and creating a safe, comfortable atmosphere.

The Preschool Department is for children ages 2-4 years old.  They meet in the Purple Room on the 1st floor of the Annex.  We engage with the Gospel in various ways including play, crafts, stories and songs to teach our littlest attendees about Jesus.  Different curriculums are used that focus on Christ and developing a relationship with Him!

The K2 Department is for children in kindergarten through 2nd Grade.  They meet in the Green Room on the 1st floor of the Annex.  Through scripture readings, worship songs and activities, we utilize several curriculums and resources to dive into meaningful conversations with these kids about Jesus and to get them asking questions about the Bible and who God is!

The Kids Department is for children in 3rd Grade through 5th Grade.  They meet in the Teal Room on the 1st floor of the Annex.  We have compiled several curriculums that work for our Kids class. Through different lesson series we foster an environment that is Christ-centered and that kids can relate to, understand and apply! Each series points kids back to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Safety & Security

To create a safe and secure environment on Sunday mornings, all kids will be dropped off and picked up at the check-in table in the foyer of the Annex. Kids and parents will both be given a matching security tag that the parents will need to use to pick up their kids after the service.

COVID Safety Protocols

  • Mask wearing is not required
    • If families feel more comfortable wearing masks, please continue to wear them
  • All volunteers and attending children will have their temperatures checked upon arrival
  • We ask all volunteers and attending children to please wash hands upon arrival
  • All volunteers and participating families are to follow CDC quarantine guidelines and can reach out to h2okids@h2osu.org for any questions about their return

Let’s continue to think, speak, and act in ways that express the love of Jesus to one another! We understand there will be a spectrum of responses to these safety protocols. Please continue to give one another grace as we navigate these times. We will let you know of any future changes as they occur

Thank you for your interest in helping to serve with H2O Kids. The next steps in getting involved are easy! All volunteers can complete the Volunteer Application below to get started. We also require all volunteers to submit to a background check (see form below) and take a child safety training course. Please check the H2O Kids Events calendar to see when the next volunteer orientation will be held. We look forward to having you on our team and are excited for you to help share the love of Jesus with our little ones!

Events Calendar

Throughout the year, we have events for families and kids! We also have volunteer orientation opportunities for those who are interested in serving with H2O Kids!

If you have any questions about these events, please reach out to the Kids Ministry Leader, Kelsey Poock!
