We are excited about learning how to live out being disciples of Jesus as a church community! Our Spring Break trips are opportunities to take a week to engage more deeply in your spiritual journey through exploring some of the core values of our church! This year we have two trips to help facilitate deeper engagement & connection with each other.

Spring Break Registration is closed!
If you would still like to join a trip, please contact the trip leader to see if that is possible!

Trip Details

The grace of God is truly amazing. No matter where you are in your journey of faith – from exploring and full of questions to living in deeply rooted relationship – grace makes it all possible. That’s why we’re going to spend a week in Florida centered around God’s grace, and especially why we’d love to have you join us! Whether you are still uncertain what you believe, brand new to the Christian faith, or have been walking with Jesus for years, we believe this trip has something very important to offer.

Plus, there’s the added bonuses of sunshine, the beach, and opportunities to meet some cool new people! We’ll be staying at a retreat center on St. George Island, Florida and will have lots of time at the beach (named the 4th best beach in America in 2021!), checking out the area & even a full day to use however you choose! So come take a step of faith with us and see what God might do!

Location: St. George Island, Florida
Cost: $275 – Reduced price!

Join us as we spend spring break just outside of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee! As we spend time in the mountains, we will be focusing on reading and learning how to study the Bible! Our hope is that this trip would provide a space for us, as a community, to connect more deeply with God through his Word.

We will be staying in a lodge at a camp that has hiking trails into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Most days we will engage with different ways to study the Bible, as well as spending ample time reading through a Bible reading plan. There will also be time to go into Gatlinburg and explore the little tourist city, as well as time to hike in the park or relax at the camp!

Dates: 3/12/22 – 3/18/22
Location: Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Cost: $275
Deposit to secure spot due by 2/13: $100
Final Payment due 3/3: $175

Trip FAQ

We recognize that the pandemic changes our approach to travel, and so this information is subject to change depending on the status of the pandemic in the spring. If we are forced to cancel the trips, or you are unable to go because of the following protocols, you will receive a full refund!

Covid-19 Trip Protocols:

  • All people going on the trip must have a negative covid test within 72hrs of departure.

  • All people going on the trip need to be symptom free before departure.

  • If a person tests positive prior to leaving for the trip, or if they have symptoms and can’t go, they will receive a full refund.

  • Masks will be optional when at the living spaces of the trips, or in cars with other trip participants.

  • Masks will be required when people on the trip are in an indoor public place outside of the living area of the trip (even if masks are optional indoors in that part of the country, we will require that all people on the spring break trip wear a mask indoors when not at the living space or the trip or in a vehicle with only trip participants).

  • Everyone who registers for a trip will be asked to sign a COVID-19 waiver acknowledging the risk that they take when participating in a spring break trip.

  • If someone contracts COVID-19 while on a H2O Church – Columbus spring break trip, they will need to be isolated from the rest of the trip. The trip leaders will help find a place for isolation to occur as well as help the individual(s) find a way to return home when it is safe to do so. Individuals that share a room with the person that tested positive and have been in close contact with that person will need to take a COVID-19 test (which will be provided to them by trip leaders).

  • Trip leaders will have rapid tests on hand for trip participants to use if they develop symptoms, are exposed, etc.

For both trips we will drive together to the destinations. You can volunteer to bring your own car to help transport people, or you will be riding in another person’s car. All drivers (both owners of vehicles & people who volunteer to help drive) are required to sign a safety agreement.

The cost of gas, tolls and other transportation-related expenses are covered in the trip cost, except for the cost of meals during the drive. For the Florida trip, we will stay in a hotel on the way down & that cost is covered in the trip cost as well.

You can also choose to fly to the destination, though you will have to pay out of pocket for that expense and coordinate with the trip leaders to get a rides to and from the trip destination.

Each day of the trip will vary slightly and will depend on the theme and specific focus of the trip, but here’s a sample schedule from past spring break trips!

Sample Daily Schedule:

  • 9-9:45am: Breakfast
  • 10-11am: Time with God/Reading Time
  • 11-12pm: Free Time
  • 12-12:45pm: Lunch
